It is tradition in my family to go to the Montseny twice a year, usually in spring and autumn. We make it a point to choose those dates specifically because we like to witness and experience the changes of the seasons.
Even though my parents have been divorced for years -and my mom is re-married-, we make it a point to get together for these trips. I consider myself very fortunate to have had nature-loving parents. I grew up in an environment where camping, walking around barefoot (and naked), getting excited about pink skies, foraging as well as cultivating our own herbs, and having an extensive naturalistic intelligence, were considered to be the spice of everyday life. And I like that I like these things. I don't love nature and the so-called 'old ways' simply because that's what I was taught, though. My sister, for example, is not a naturey person at all. But I genuinely like this way of living, regardless of what my family does. And I'm lucky that I get to be surrounded by people who 'get it' too :)
I didn't post pictures of my parents here in order to respect their privacy. However, they will appear on the video I'll upload to youtube later, so... doesn't make much sense to me haha. But my mom insisted that she appears on the video so... ok moooom :P Same with my dad. They love videos, apparently.
